A Miniaturized fuel cell for clean energy
Inergio, a spin-off from the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the Haute école d’ingénierie et de gestion du canton de Vaud (HEIG-VD), has taken on the mission of addressing the challenge of off-grid power supply by developing a new, innovative generation of miniaturized, efficient, and environmentally friendly fuel cells.
Behind the scenes of Cortexia's development: support from Alliance and platinn
The life of a company is made up of numerous challenges that often have to be met simultaneously. The mission of the Alliance and platinn coaching services is to help companies in Western Switzerland meet these challenges. Demonstration with Cortexia, which was coached by both entities between 2018 and 2023.
A digital twin for biocomposite optimization
In 2019, Dynatec, a company with expertise in high-precision machining, has embarked on an ambitious project: to develop a biobased composite material and combine it with a digital twin to optimize the implementation process and thus gain in agility. The project was carried out in collaboration with HEIG-VD, and received Innosuisse funding with the help of Alliance.
Aspivix, a gynaecological instrument that respects women's privacy
For over a century, most women have suffered from gynecological procedures performed with Pozzi forceps. Equipped with claws, these forceps too often cause severe pain. That's why Aspivix, a Vaud-based start-up, has developed an alternative that respects women's intimacy and is less painful, based on the suction cup principle.
